I do have an Xorg.conf file which was probable created when I installed restricted driver for my Intel GMA. My problem is while trying to login through tty7. Then it shows some routine checks like "Checking battery state [OK]" and then gets stuck there. Then I press Alt + F1 and I am able to start Xserver in tty1 (to tty6) by giving "startx" command. So that couldn't be the problem with Xorg.conf, is it? -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May the FOSS be with you... always - Adhin ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- "Freedom is the only law".
