Hi Mukesh, Thanks for the reply.

I do have an Xorg.conf file which was probable created when I installed
restricted driver for my Intel GMA. My problem is while trying to login
through tty7. Then it shows some routine checks like "Checking battery
state [OK]" and then gets stuck there. Then I press Alt + F1 and I am able
to start Xserver in tty1 (to tty6) by giving "startx" command. So that
couldn't be the problem with Xorg.conf, is it?
