Why don't you try the much easier postscript printing?

Do you have a particular reason you want to use HP's driver?

There are some amazing postscript highlighting/formatting tools in
linux.

I once took a printout of C code and RFC documents for offline reading
and my printout had so much sex appeal since I knew how to use a2ps(1).
