> Why don't you try the much easier postscript printing?

Thanks, I tried it immediately after seeing the reply, installationa
of a2ps was fine, no problems. But after I issue the command to print
a specific file I see no response on the printer end.

Verified the printer settings from my Fedora 5 system, it shows the
printer belonging to class HP5150 (I think this comes from the
previous HPLIP installation), should I remove this ?

Here is a transcript of the commands:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# a2ps -v -o bin/checkuser.ps bin/checkuser.sh
[bin/checkuser.sh (Bourne Shell): 1 page on 1 sheet]
[Total: 1 page on 1 sheet] saved into the file `bin/checkuser.ps'

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# a2ps bin/checkuser.ps
[bin/checkuser.ps (ps, delegated to PsNup): 1 page on 1 sheet]
request id is d4185-printer-2 (1 file(s))
[Total: 2 pages on 1 sheet] sent to the default printer
