Sites like cohesiveft.com provide custom virtual images. They provide
virtual images for lamp, ROR and many more stacks. They support
various virtualization platforms including vmware, zen, Amazon
{small,large,ex-large}. All you need is a player to use these images.
I'm not sure if they are ready for production use, but a best bet to
evaluate the offering based on your requirement.

Check out http://es.cohesiveft.com/ website for details.

They do provide image which could be deployed in Google App Engine.
I've not verified it, if anyone else does, please share your
experience.
