If you are planning to have YALD (Yet Another Linux Distro), please consider
contributing to one of the existing instead.
If you have a great idea coming up, there was a discussion here about a
community driven distro some time back, let us see if we can revive that.
Lastly, if you want the learning experience, I suggest doing an LFS install
