This is very ambitious. i hope you have the necessary man power, funding and local support for the event. Adhoc and impromptu strategies pose their own difficulties. A good plan is essential. you can approach various colleges to participate in the event but they will be more inclined to buy it when you have a good plan. More sponsors and funding for the event will be on the positive side. Media coverage may start disappearing if the number of participants start dwindling over time. The mechanism has to be sustaining.
