Nice to see Ubuntu LTS listed beside RHEL/CENTOS and Debian "stable" .. hmm

Ubuntu project has come a long way with it's emphasis on the desktop
user . Most of the computer reviews( less geeky and desktop based one
) kind of equate Ubuntu to GNU/Linux .

I am happy to learn from ubuntu project success how a community can
grow if we remove basic/simple barriers from the new user . Ubuntu
forums as we all know are very user friendly and welcome people who
"can't google" rather than othe mailing lists which shun away newbies
and scare them away :(

Not everything is shiny in ubuntu . I definitely don't like the Wubi
project - windows installer for ubuntu :(
The question I always had is how far should ubuntu bend for "newbies " ??
