for a normal student, i assume they just need some place where they can
share pics easily with their friends. it can also allow them to comment on
it. but with gallery2, one has to register or do lots of things. people may
not aware of the interface. may be, gallery2 can be for a pro photographer.

Lastly note that I am encouraging students to have their own self
