Hi,
IMHO, one of the hurdles in switching to GNU/linux, that most of
my friends feel, is the mindset that the softwares for linux are hard
to find and install, mostly for those who don't have internet access.
Won't it be nice if there is a stall at Carte Blanche where the most
commonly used softwares are distributed free of cost?
We can collect the list of softwares used widely by students and
maintain a local repository of the same. It will help to remove the
mental hurdle of atleast a few people.
