Ubuntu Karmic uses Grub2 by default. There is no grub.conf in /etc/. Please do read up on Grub2. The grub.cfg file in /boot/grub is not editable and is generated dynamically when one runs grub-mkconfig command. I don't know how this can be done in the .bash.profile file. -- Thanks, Yogesh. _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
