Indeed, but the same client (FF) on a "local LAN" workstation has no
problems accessing the DVR system!  That rules out client issue (FF)
but kind of indicates a bad implementation on the htttp server in the
DVR box, presuming the error code is being sent by the DVR box.

Same error with Opera and Konqueror

Will ask the client.

Yes, but they would be in the DVR box.  I have already given heads up
to client to get all vendors in one room.

Looks like sessions with tcpdump, wireshark and head banging with
vendors of these boxes :(
