+1 for netbook, especially if you're traveling often (and quite cheap). But the keyboard & screen can be tiny, and it's not fun when you have to code on it for a long time. Seriously reconsider the netbook if you're an Emacs user - the keyboard can give you an ulcer if you have big hands - I have to use vim on my netbook for coding.
