Hi,
Am thinking to create a distribution which will consists of all
softwares used in 4year engineering life. (you may scold creating a
distribution cannot be considered as project).
Go ahead and do this even if its not your final year project
Due to some problem one of our lab is installed with ubuntu but within
3months of time ubuntu is removed. Reasons are faculty members find it
difficult to use(!),they are'nt ready to learn new things(they need
only start menu),they are'nt ready to search for alternatives and to
use it. So am thinking to create a distribution which will be more or
less as like windows(so that they will not hate it and in long run
they will become interested in free software) and it will consists all
required softwares preinstalled.
Tell me a suggestion whether to start this or to try anyother(if
creating a distribution is not worthy).
If other means, Is there any company or project centre to train for
projects in opensource.
Project Centre != Open Source
Open Source projects are about your willingness to explore and put your
time into a software for which your heartbeats. There is NO project
centre concept here - the proliferation of project centers is the sad
indicator the current style of education
