Sometimes when I run some long running scripts, the CPU temperature rises above 85 deg C!!! Then I get nervous and place it right under the blast of an a/c. Though I have not measured, my guesstimate of the surface temp around the touchpad is around 40-50 deg C. Unfortunately, I came across reviews of its 'hotness' only after I bough it :-). Now I have learned to live with a constant burning sensation in my fingertips! I have another Acer (and Aspire) which is also hot. So, if its going to see heavy usage, I would not reccomend Acer. I would suggest that you consider some core i5 processor m/c because I remember reading its more power efficient - and hence less heat! regds, mano _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
