May be I was bit incoherent but what I meant is that given a
dual-licensed code, most companies would prefer to use (use !=
release)
permissive license over GPL.
GPL code usage can be higher because of Linux kernel and GNU compiler
collection.

Thanks for correcting me on this one.
I remember reading this advantage of BSD long back but forgot to take
this into consideration.
I will correct the post to say a comparison between apache and BSD
(and will remove the remark that Apache is better)
