Yes Intel is costly and most people measure performance in terms of buzz words like i7, i5, i3 where in there are 8 cores in i7 so they feel more performance. Hardly regular users go beyond using 3 cores. AMD has good number of cores too, but they do not advertise like Intel does. .. nor they make a hu ha about it. There are people who say AMD has heating problems, but I guess those were gone in old Athlons Check CPUbenchmark site and decide what you want. P.S: Been using AMD since Athlon.. now having a Phenom II, overclocked and running fine. http://srikrishnadas.wordpress.com/2010/09/16/overclocking-phenom-ii-x2-550/ -- krish _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
