When people repeat their mistakes again and again despite the
constant, irritating reminders it means that they aren't bothered
about the reminder to actually try to learn/understand what is being
said and why it is said. People are putting additional effort to
educate the ignorant members and if the offenders can't have the basic
courtesy to get enlightened, then they will have to put up with
repeated reminders to their repeated mistakes imho. And as for as the
OP's email, I would say that 'policing' is an extremely harsh and
unfair word to use for people trying to remind/enlighten the ignorant
about the guidelines; 'reminder' could have been a better and a
neutral word.

Thanks & Regards,
Guruprasad
