Hello group Thank you for your wonderful help in trying to solve our problem of apache taking up all memory and becoming unresponsive the problem was actually an application code problem
we were loading wordpress by including wp-load file in our index file when we used the siege tool to test and removed the inclusion of wp-load file the problem stopped Further investigation was not done as we had already spent time on this :) I had read in codex a year back that including wp-load in external application was fine but looks like it was not the right thing to do If i get to work in detail on core wordpress - I shall try to figure the actual reason later . For now I am looking to buy good system administration books to manage ubuntu servers we know ubuntu basics but sometimes get stuck while managing servers . so it will be great if you can recommend an excellent book to learn server administration for someone who is good at terminal use In near term we are currently looking to solve : 1) how to make server very secure from normal atatcks , dos attacks , bots 2) how to calculate bandwidth of particular site hosted on a server - one server has more than 50 sites 3) how to calculate disk space , mysql space of particular site Looking forward to cool server admin book recommendations Happy coding :) Thanks and best regards Karan Ahuja On Fri, Feb 10, 2012 at 9:00 AM, Karan Ahuja <[email protected]>wrote: > we have found solution in correcting code > > I shall study more and post tomorrow > > BR > Karan Ahuja > > > > 2012/2/10 ஆமாச்சு <[email protected]> > >> On Friday 10 February 2012 01:26 PM, Karan Ahuja wrote: >> > I am ready for receiving paid help as well - plz email off the list >> http://www.ubuntu.com/business/server/services >> >> apache is under Main repository.
