I have been shouting at every place since 2009 that one should choose
PostgreSQL instead of MySQL for serious projects for two reasons: 1.
technical superiority
2. impending takeover of Sun by Oracle.

At the time I migrated from MS-SQL to PostgreSQL against a lot of
opposition for PostgreSQL from developers and Management.

A few listened.

Lets look at this as a great opportunity to dive into MySQL to
PostgreSQL migrations for all upcoming professionals and entrenched
ones too. (Silly, Its mostly production systems, of course money is
involved here and yeah I am interested)

They are happy and sleeping peacefully now.
