Sir 2012/9/30 Rajagopal Swaminathan <[email protected]>
> ITRANS: > nii~Nga tamiz pesupavaraa ? > > Is that difficult? > I have never used itrans. I just compared Phonetic and Tamil99. Difficulty is not the matter what I meant. For writing in phonetic methods, we have to convert them into English format and then get what we want!! We are typing only as Tanglish. In my view, For instance, to write, நீங்க தமிழ் பேசுபவரா? We are first converting it to நீங்க தமிழ் பேசுபவரா? --> nii~Nga tamiz pesupavaraa ? (itrans) OR wEngka thamiz pEsupavarA? (phonetic) Typing that and getting the output. Thus, we are forced to convert in Tanglish and write... Why should we use the help of another language to write and express what we desired to express in our own language??? Transliteration methods are OK for freshers.. But, is it good for regular users ? Definitely NO... -- Regards, ARUN P A Tailor’s mistake is a Fashion But, An Engineer’s mistake is a Disaster.
