Hi, > Spirit of (proprietery) UNIX is fine as the spirit of AI(X|DS) is fine.
When I meant traditional UNIX, I meant the UNIX culture and the way of doing things which is what Linux and BSDs are based on in the first place. There was no mention of obnoxious proprietary implementations of UNIX anywhere in my earlier reply. The OP was expecting a Linux distro that is more similar to BSD (the traditional UNIX way of doing things) and Slackware Linux fits the bill. > Respect Linux I do, and that's why I still prefer and have been using Slackware Linux since 1995. -- Chandrashekar Babu http://www.chandrashekar.info/ _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
