All Charted Accountants, ICWA Grads are also certified professionals only, who just got certified. On the IT front, I have seen people who have finished their certifications for the sake of it, and there are those which have real value. One of the real value certifications is Oracle Certified Java Enterprise Architect. A certification that becomes junk if not properly done is - Oracle Java Application Developer Certification. Both of them from the same stable. These are just examples. There should be tonnes of others out there. There are others, which only when you cross, would you under the concept at all. You don't have to write the certification, but once you learn it - why not?
