[Cross posted to: GoaRUG, BangaloreRUG, PuneRUG, ChennaiRUG, KeralaRUG, MumbaiRUG, LondonRUG and SFRuby] Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce that RubyConf India 2014 will happen in Goa sometime during March next year. Please help us get the word out by forwarding this email to any other communities/groups/lists you think may be interested. * Location: Goa * Venue: TBD * Mailing list: Goa RUG list - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/goa-ruby * Dates: 22nd and 23rd March (tentative, pending confirmation of venue) * Website: http://rubyconfindia.org * Twitter: http://twitter.com/rubyconfindia Here's the quick summary for those of you new to the community or new to RubyConf India: * RubyConf India is the Indian branch of the annual, international Ruby Conf. * RubyConf India is an annual event and 2014 will be fifth Indian RubyConf. Previous years speakers and talks are available at http://rubyconfindia.org * RubyConf India typically sees 500+ people participate every year and includes notable members of the local and international Ruby community. In 2013, we had 80 international delegates and early bird tickets were sold out in under 1 hour! * Part of our agenda is promoting the host city's RUG by co-ordinating the event through their list. Since the next RubyConf India will be in Goa, those of you interested in helping out should sign up at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/goa-ruby * We have a bunch of things to put in place ahead of the conference - raising sponsorship money, identifying keynote speakers, setting up the CFP and last but not least, venue logistics (A/V, internet, food, swag etc.). All of these things will be announced/discussed on the GoaRUG list. Some of them will require local volunteers so if you're up for it, do sign up on the list! * We would also request you to follow/support/retweet the RubyConf India twitter account at http://twitter.com/rubyconfindia - all of our announcements will go out through this twitter account. For more info, please join or watch the GoaRUG list. You can also reach out to the RubyConf India team via this list or by emailing [email protected]; we will be making regular announcements over the next few months. Here's looking forward to yet another super-awesome RubyConf India! Best, Sidu Ponnappa. http://twitter.com/ponnappa -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "chennai.rb" group.
