Hi folks,

I tried out setting up my ISDN internet account on my
linux 7.1 system, and was successful in getting a
connection (phone line got conneted) with the ISP.
Then (as I found in the log that is available on
pressing "Debug" button), the ISP said "requested
service not authorised". I say "ISP said" because the
error message was against a "NOW>"prompt. (NOW is my
ISP).

Could any helpful soul explain me what is happening? I
tried out calling NOW helpline 1600 112 112, but I got
a terse reply "We do not support Linux!" I wonder
whether the "We" there was the ISP or the service
centre!

Thanks in advance,
Krishna

P.S. I tried out the connection with a windows PC in
my office, and it worked well.
