hope you've checked out bharteeyaoo.0 (bharteeya openoffice) do a 
google-search. i met the coders a few months ago, and they're doing a 
fabulous job.

lots of issues. having a unicode font is the *least * of problems. raghu.otf 
already exists.
the real issue is getting an input method in place. that's a big topic.

ahem! openoffice allows you to do that easily. just go to the print command, 
and say 'save to file' and it will ask you the format, ps, or pdf. that's it 
you're done. this i've seen in oo.o 1.01 and in 1.02.
