If VSNL is blocked by frodo.hserus.net. Let the users of VSNL complains that should under free market conditions make them take notice. Then there are two possibilities. 1) VSNL responds to your complaint asks Abuse Desk of Outblaze to remove the block and assure them no more Spam. 2) VSNL doesn't respond and you shift to another provider. > Considering that bulk of the users are using vsnl, I > am not surprised that the number of mails to the list have > reduced considerably.. Afterall if Outblaze blocks VSNL so must so many others. > (*) receive mail on a different server and sync it with > the current server or switch the list to a different > server completely

Abuse Desk sysadmins have a fine balancing act between frying innocents and being seen as Spam Friendly. > (*) convince vsnl admins to look into the "matter" Only sensible course though they don't many clued whitehats but a lot of empty hats. I had a recent bad experience with their Internet Department ( whatever be its name) with a lot a clueless(including their DGM Customer Relations Mr.Rajinder Singh, Mr. Sanjay Singh,Mr. B. P .Singh and one Mr. Pandey ) or powerless guys for an ISDN account renewal. What these guyz were doing was migrating ISDN accounts from their Server's in Delhi to Bombay but completely forgot to migrate currently inactive but renewable accounts to the new server.( As told to me by a powerless little bird) . Now poor customers who need ISDN (as backup to equally clueless DSL provider) who fully paid up for renewal in advance have to go through their fully crap Helpdesk/Customare Care where no picks up the phone and extensions are always busy ( a lot of complaining customers it seems) . So much for the Information Superpower status. > any ideas / suggestions ? Looking for some best contacts info on VSNL from this list. -Tarun Dua _______________________________________________ ilugd mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd
