 are graphics  Okay under windows xp.
there shouldnot be any problem with sis530 as i am myself have run sis630
with most linux distros. try reconfiguring your graphics card from the
console
by starting redhat-config (followed by X... something)(in the console type
redhat-config followed by tab the shell with return to you with possible
completions,use the command with XF86 in it ). check the vertical and
horizontal sync values detected by the utility against those in the mannual
accompanying your monitor also try using different resolution and color
depth
i  think this should help you.

I am running with Redhat Linux 9.0 .This is mine first linux experience.I
also have windows xp and me in mine pc. Eversince I installed linux on mine
system the display is not correct. I have found some white lines on mine
screen.I do not know how to get rid of them.
Is mine hardware not capable of running 9.0 Should i try some downgraded
version. Or is installing windos xp causing the problem.
I have 8 mb graphics memory and sis530.
Please help me
