Is it not possible to have a forum + email list ?
I mean instead of storing the archives like archives if they can be pushed
to a forum (which I guess are easily indexed in search engines)?

Offline mailing is any day convenient for me rather than having to logon to
a forum and wait for a page to load for each message posted before deciding
on whether to reply or not.

However, if messages are stored in a forum on the web, then it definitely
gives more exposure to ILUGD. Infact most of the Linux queries I have had
got resolved before reaching ILUGD, because there are many Linux forums
online and someone always has had the same problem and even more
interestingly some one else also had a solution!

BTW... are there any secure forums available ? phpBB/wwwboard/yabbse etc are
so buggy they wont last a month!

Exposure is good but having exposure through a website that gets hacked
every 4-5 days(or hours in case of phpbb) is not that attractive.
