er...! please try to keep stuff out in your emails or signatures,
whether deliberate or auto-generated, that may offend people.

this because there are a growing number of people from all walks of
life, all age groups, and of course, women, on this mailing list.

danese cooper of sun microsystems mentioned that women tend to get
turned off by linux-oriented mailing lists due to such, often unintended
remarks, as of coure with flames.

incidentally, just yesterday i happened to discover that a
help-authoring software was coded and developed by a woman, but she
found the hostile environment of the opensource community too much to
handle and closed the project on the sourceforge site.

and on that unhappy note, i wish to suggest a revolution: perhaps the
july  linux-delhi meet, should be at a girl's college or institute.
we'll find girls to give presentations on linux. why july? because exams
thru march and april, followed by holidays. 

what do you people say?
