Well compiere is not that easy to configure and
requires lot of RAM ( < 512 MB) and you need to buy an
Oracle Licence (costs something like Rs.46K + taxes
for 5 user licence) for deployment of compiere.
You ca have alook at GNUcash if it solves your
purpose. It is shipped with RH 9.0
