Over the last 14 years, IIEF has worked closely with the domestic and overseas financial community including government departments and ministries, regulators, multilateral agencies, SROs, intermediaries, investors and economists. Between 1998 and 2001, IIEF served as the consultant to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and produced the Project OASIS Report which provided a policy direction and framework for India's pension reform. IIEF is now assisting the Department of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance in the areas of pension reform and system implementation. Infrastructure: --------------- * We have a linux based thin client architecture. * An IBM x205 serves as the main file server along with two normal PCs serving as proxy and backup servers. * The nodes (10 nos.) run on a celeron 1.7 processor with a remote boot from the server. * Other peripherals include a semi-heavy duty HP 2300 laser printer and an all-in-one Hp 6110 color deskjet. * We use Debain Linux with KDE as front-end. * The system is backed-up twice evey day. Job profile: ------------ * Regular maintenance and trouble shooting for the network. * Writing scripts/programs in perl/unix shell for automation of work as and when required. * Knowledge of web programming will be an added advantage:php/perl-cgi * Hands on experience on Open Office is preferred. Experience/qualifications: -------------------------- * 1-2 years experience in the above mentioned skill sets. * Min. qualifications: graduate, preferrable in computer science but not necessary.
