hi,
Please check the config of eth0.
It says the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway is 
172.16.50.1
IF this is the case then your ip address should be 172.16.50.x
or else change your subnet mask.The subnet mask config and the ip
address do not seem to correlate.
