A forthcoming bill in the U.S. Senate would, if passed, dramatically
reshape copyright law by prohibiting file-trading networks and some
consumer electronics devices on the grounds that they could be used
for unlawful purposes.

Again, a US law that could be used by proxy in India.  I'm rather
disappointed with the progress (or lack thereof) on the PlayFair
issue, where we seem to have just caved in and moved the package
outside the country instead of fighting the case in the courts here.

Why introduce laws when you can just chip away at freedom bit by bit
in silence and secrecy?
