Hi everyone, I am an engineering student and as a part of our curriculum we use various non-free software on our college PCs (running win2k).
We use TC for C/C++ programming. Which free alternative would you suggest for people accustomed to using TC? We use AutoCAD, IDEAS and CATIA for CAD/CAM. And having looked at most of the packages listed in the CAD/CAM pdf file on the ilugd website, I don't think there are any real free alternatives for them. How feasible will it be for the ILUGD community to collaborate on a CAD/CAM project to fill the void? I've been thinking of starting one using Java but there are so many similar incomplete projects on the net and I really don't want to add to the list. I think that a close knit community like this one can really get something going. If it's too much work, maybe we can use some of the existing projects as a base. Does anyone else think it's a good idea? - AJ _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
