No, I don't think it is illegal. Firstly, because it is posted on web without restrictions -it is not difficult to restrict access if it was only meant for selected people. Secondly, this is not the only link where you can find Steven's stated book online without restriction- http://leda.ttt.bme.hu/~cinkler/NSHT/doc/Stevens_TCPIP_illustrated_vol1.pdf . Several Oreilly's books are well known to be available online. http://www.xml.com/ldd/chapter/book/ (Linux Device Driver -although this has License statement.:-)) Any special reason why you think this is illegal ?
