dear all,

i *finally* screwed my pcqlinux2k4. wanted to get bluetooth running,
went to add/remove applications and asked it to update the gnome
bluetooth subsystem or whatever.
the machine actually hung. reminded me of days using non-gnulinux pcs. yech!

have been noticing that pcqlinux2k4 had been misbehaving too much.
several apps would crash, vlc would act strangely, mozilla even more
strange. yet everything works fine in redhat8.

so have decided not to even upgrade to fedoracore2. have heard some
horrifying stories of it as well.

besides, assuming all is good and rosy, i need to use another flavour
of gnulinux in my daily, production life, than just redhat.

have looked at mandrake, but find it too 'mac-ish' [grin] and yes,
i've used macs for nearly two decades.

*before* we get into a distro-war, this is simple, i am considering a
few more distros in different partitions of my pc.
so one is debian [okay, 90% of you can relax on that send button]
what about suse? are there any suse in the production pc users here?
any other recommendations?
nope, don't wanna consider gentoo. so mary, relax and get some chocolate. :-)

LL
