(I hate the new Yahoo interface. If anyone is listening, it really sucks for doing quoting properly. And, thanks, but I *do* not need HTML in my mail. Apologies to ILUG-D for the rant.)

I will try to do that, but the important part was that NRCF has some 50 colleges interested, and can probably fund a concerted effort. * the place itself - i.e. place of interaction with the students (whether we talk to a local college and ask them to give us space - projector - kachoris and all) Yes, this is something that needs to be done. But, in the longer term, I think that this will have to move to an online development model. * expression of interest by various members willing to take responsibility for specific projects (i.e. those with deliverables closely matching stated goals) can lead to quick and definitive start in the specified areas.. - imho This is the other important thing. We need to have commitments that people follow up on. It will require a significant amount of time, at least in the beginning. Given the current educational culture in India, mentoring will be a pain. For my side, I am willing to mentor anyone working on a task related to Indian language computing. Thanks for bringing this up Mary. I would like to have these issues discussed at the meeting.
