I think that this might work, but there needs to be more
of a planning, including topics, and distribution of times.
At present, there are three parallel tracks planned, and
this looks to me like adding a fourth track. I am not sure
if there is room/time for this. Whom will these
sub-conferences cater to? If it is just a focussed group,
how is it different than a BoF?

Look, this is not pointing fingers specifically at you,
but if people here continue to walk around with a 
chip on their shoulders, we might as well drop the whole
shebang right now, as it is never going to work. So,
please, can we let bygones be bygones, and look to make
a fresh start. Otherwise, all this talk of community,
and collaboration remains just talk.

Um, this is a little contradictory. Are you proposing
one sub-conference, or multiple ones?
