I can indeed be caustic at times, but maybe you can use your alkali detector to point out how this was the case here. I am also perfectly serious about temporary moderation on first offence in such cases. This is standard policy on other lists, and, in my opinion, is essential to try and stop the onslaught of unethical companies, like Orkut and Silicon India, masquerading as social networking sites.
