He said in his blog that they should increase the icandy element in Ubuntu so as to leave Macs behind. There is nothing in Ubuntu that is inspired by the iSucker. Ubuntu is plain Debian, with some fixes and a bit bleeding edge. also, i am seriously thinking of buying one of those vastly-overpriced > macbooks, much as i dislike apple's policies and pricing. errrrrrr... if advocates like you will start buying iSuckers what will happen to the rest of the lot? How can we ask to stay away from non-free stuff when we ourself use them? Will not we lose the right to advocate further? I will never endorse you buying an Apple. Check config. They are even crapier than a low end Dell/HP. HP now is more Linux friendly, and Dell too. I don't agree with your purchase decision. But its your pocket. And apple is not Muft and Mukt. I am utterly disappointed :-( I dont want you to become iNiyam iBhushan :D > > i visited the 'imagine' store at ansal plaza today to check them out, > but they are expected in by the first week of november. want to check > them out with a bootable ubuntu cd. Avoid non-free hardware as much as possible. Its the sucking non-free hardware that makes life hell for developers and us users!
