hi what you can possibly do is
Setup a mail server on a linux machine (qmail maybe), and specify an account where all outgoing or incoming mail thru that server is by default sent to that account, and other required accounts which may include your personal account (e.g. [EMAIL PROTECTED] - your logging account and [EMAIL PROTECTED] - where all your personal mails are received ). now get "fetchyahoo","getmail" and "fetchmail" - download your yahoo mails thru fetchyahoo and send it to your [EMAIL PROTECTED] (it'll automatically be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] since yu've setup yr server in that way), similarily do it for hotmail (getmail) and your POP servers (fetchmail). now download an app (MHonarc or hypermail), setup a cronjob (hourly,daily,monthly,quartely whatever) which allows MHonarc to scan specified mailboxes (in your case [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and create HTML files from it (something of the kind you'll see at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]). Use htdig to make a searchable database of those HTML files. that's it. this way "all" of your outgoing and incoming mails would be saved and will be searchable. you can do it for a single account also (i.e. remove [EMAIL PROTECTED]) is there some other and better method? vivek > Illustration: > > 1.
