Hi In Fedora core4 box I have installed Postfix+MailScanner+Spamassassin, using Dovecote for pop and imap.
Users frequently come up with query that they cant pull their mails in their mail client even web-mail users cant access their mails. What is noticed that the mail-file /var/spool/mail/xyz gets few garbage (sometime part of earlier email I guess) lines added before the actual mail starts. i.e. ------------------------------------------------- @% Hee8 io7qwrm >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 15 13:20:23 2005 Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: from www.abc.com (localhost [127.0.0.1]) .... -------------------------------------------------- Then I need to edit /var/spool/mail/xyz file and remove those lines. -------------------------------------------------- @% Hee8 io7qwrm -------------------------------------------------- The user will be able to pull his mails/access web-mail then after.
