using parted i was able to shrink an ntfs partition live and create
ext3/resierfs filesystem. may be parted can extend file systems as
well and hopefelly there is a solution similar to ntfs_resize for
resierfs.
usually when i run out of diskspace, i move usr/share to a new
directory. this in itself frees a whole lot of space. also dont move
files and symlink them, move entire directory trees. also would
suggest usr/bin usr/lib usr/sbin and usr/libexec(?) untouched
