Hi,

I was wondering if there's been any talk in the group about the OLPC
project (http://laptop.org/), its Fedora-based Sugar interface
(http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar) or the XO laptop itself
(http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XO:_The_Children%27s_Machine).

Sugar can be run on non-XO laptops and desktops as well. See
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Supported_systems for details. For
instance, in Ubuntu Hardy, simply go to Synaptic and search for Sugar.
Select the packages and install. Then log out and log back into a new
session under Sugar instead of GNOME. To do so, when you are at the
login screen click on "Options" > "Session" and select "Sugar". This
will give you a real Sugar environment to play with.

Alternatively, you could grab a Live CD from
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/LiveBackup_XO-LiveCD and boot with it and get
a full Fedora-based stack.

cheers,
Sameer
