Hi Guys

The question I would ask the my group is Why is this group failing. Are new
people joining this group. what is the reason for there joining and and what
are they expectations. what are its short comes. what are the ways and methods
needs to be implemented. Is this group well organised and commited. Are there
any system or structure in place that keeps the group organised.

For example, Like most people, I know that i know if i have issue i can post a
message and get a definite reply from group. But after a few tries in using
linux many users may  find it difficult to use and maintain linux unlike
windows. Linux need a bit technical know hows. but a simple home users may not
be technical savy.  Can this group be a motivation body
to help people get used to linux.

This is just my thought.

cheers

Hi,
The activity in the group has reduced
and has been restricted to commercial
posts. Membership to the group has stagnated!
Also doesn't look like there seem to be
regular monthly meets (I am guessing this
is due to poor attendance).

While this is true for most LUGs, I believe
we have a lot to learn from Ilug Chennai
which is going strong even today.

This post is an RFC on how we can revive the
LUG and all activities we can carry out to
promote FOSS in our city. I am hoping to get
atleast one reply. Probably, we could have a
small meet in October to discuss the measures
needed to revive the LUG.
