That is where people have misunderstood the system, IMO. We just
jokingly call it "PEBKAC" [1].

One cannot compare apples and oranges. There is no source for Windows
either. So, you can never compare the two.
These are not *alternatives* to other systems. These are priceless
when you have the source code.

People first need to accept that the system is different, and instead
of fighting with the system, they simply need to use it to see why it
is designed the way it is, rather than trying to *emulate* experiences
from other systems.
