Hi All,

Seem to move from trouble to trouble. A staircase but upwards as I'm
learning a lot thanks to your support.

My iMac 400 Mhz SE DV machine with 256 MB memory and 7 GB still
available on the harddisk, running on OS 9.0.4 takes more than 5 minutes
to start up. Before this it took not quite 2 minutes. Have not changed
anything.
Clean installed the system again, zapped the pram and rebuilt the
desktop
but it still takes ages. Virtual Mem. and Ram checking are off.
When I start up the screen lights up but it takes more than 3 minutes
till the happy Mac shows up. Thereafter all O.K and no more delays. The
machine runs all applications perfectly.
Screened the hard disk with TechTool Pro 3 and Norton AntiVirus, all is
O.K. What went wrong?

TIA for any solution.

Greetings, Andr.
