Apple hasn't explained any of the specifics with the upgrade yet, so 
there's no telling what will transpire. It's a "free upgrade" but 
costs $20 to get a CD. Who knows, it could be a download as well. 
Good ol' Steve didn't exactly explain the whole thing on stage.

There's a month and a half from now til September. Give apple 
feedback via their webpage, rather than (or in addition to) venting 
here. So far, Apple's been rather willing to listen to their 
customer's feedback regarding OS X.
