I know this may not be appropriate for an imac list, but... A friend of
mine purchased an indigo ibook yesterday from Circuit City. 366mh, 10GB
hard disk, for $880. It was the display model. She also got 128 memory for
$19.99.
Circuit City sells a four year parts and labor warranty for $249 which I
recommended that she buy. (we have already had a funky keyboard problem and
a connector problem with ours.)
When we got home, we discovered that the y and z keys are reversed. Type
'y', you get 'Z' and vice-versa. What the heck? I am wondering what is up
and how difficult it will be to get repaired.
Was this a good price? I have tried checking the web, and it seems that
indigo powerbooks are few and far between.
Also, how does one hook up a keyboard (as in piano, not letters) to an
ibook. Is there a midi port, or would that just be a usb port.
I sure was proud to have made another convert from the dark side, but was
embarrassed about the keyboard......
Thanks all,
jill
