Check the Keyboard control panel and make sure the keyboard layout is set to
US. When the Y and Z are switched, that usually means it's a German layout,
see what happens when you press some other keys - you might get umlautted
letters. Simple, free repair.
As for the midi keyboard, there are several USB to MIDI solutions out there
on the net - I know of a few but have very little experience with them.
Perhaps someone else on the list may know.
As for price, any iBook under 900 is a good steal. I just paid 1300 for a
Pismo - and that was a deal.
